You may have noticed we’ve been rather quiet on social media lately as things have been a little tough recently so I thought I’d take the time to share a few things with you.
•
Towards the end of last year I decided to make some handmade Christmas decorations using reclaimed wood, it started off by me just wanting to make some for our own home, then we thought we’d see if people would be interested in buying them and that blew up way more than we expected…our run up to Christmas was VERY busy!
•
My plan was to re-focus on Impress in the new year, but unfortunately the new year bought us some devastating news regarding Johnnys (my partners) Dad & that was his cancer had tragically spread in the space of 2 months prior to Christmas. Heartbreakingly a few weeks after finding out this news he passed away peacefully at home.
•
During this time I haven’t been able to be in the Impress office as much as normal as I’ve been wanting to support the family as much as I can, which I’m sure you can all appreciate and understand. ❤️
•
However this has allowed me to focus on turning our reclaimed wooden creations (the joys of being able to use Johnny’s parents nice big double garage to get creative in) into a second business to run alongside Impress.
•
So, whilst I have been quiet recently with Impress Rutland we are very much still here, orders can still be placed and I’m only at the end of a message if you need me!
•
